I might not be enchanting you with a traditional attire to celebrate this special day but allow me to pretend that my AFRICAN attributes: smile, enthusiasm, gentleness, dignity and UBUNTU will do you pride……………….

Today the entire world is craving for your warmth, peace and generosity………….

Africa, your are the SHINING STAR in human-kind’s SOUL.

You invade my heart with optimism, generosity, humility and endless love for others…………

Yes, you penetrate my CONSCIENCE like food in an empty stomach. For with IT I am able to walk tall and sleep in peace while the world tell itself contradicting tales.

You teach me to endure all circumstances, most of all you give me courage to survive the day.

AFRICA, I owe you respect and will never abandon you as long as my CONSCIENCE mates with you in this Universe.

I beg you never to leave me alone for you are my eternal guide. Your unique ways and teachings shine like your DIAMONDS and GOLD in my CHARACTER.

I enjoy the GLORY and prestige of being identified as an AFRICAN CHILD .

Allow me to abuse of your generosity: Join me in my prayer that the NEW GENERATION follow in the path of those who liberated our continent.

We should not disappoint our Leaders with caprice and lack of wisdom. At the end of their long journey, like parents handing over A COMBATTED PATRIMONY to their kids, they should be able to sit back and say, WE ARE PROUD AND YES IT WAS WORTH EVERY BIT…………….

My beloved Africa, I will never abandon you, I carry you with me in my smile, through dancing when I appreciate your music, with my kindness when I sacrifice my time for others without asking anything in return.

You have done a lot for me, now it’s time I take care of you……………………..
